Just wanted to send you a picture of one of Zoie’s latest adventures.
Zoie was such a good girl and seemed to really enjoy herself.
Any time I go to leave, Zoie is waiting for me at the door.
She loves to go for rides.
My grandchildren love Zoie and she is so good with them! As you can see she is a very loved,
and maybe a little spoiled, little dog!
3 days including weekends
Must love animals!

Thank you SNAKE RIVER Skydiving Wyoming for hosting this event, raising shelter awareness, and for donating a portion of each jump to our animals.
The final count for the weekend was 169 tandems, 72 videos, 68 loads, almost 1200 gallons of Jet A, and nearly that much beer. Zero cutaways!
$1,700 raised for Lucky’s Place!
Let’s do it again next year!
Just wanted to tell you how much we love Stormy. She has transformed our life. As this past year has been full of challenges, Stormy came into our life and brought so much joy and peace.
She loves to hike and go on adventures. She loves to help with homework. She walks each day to the bus to see the girls off and always gets the first hugs when the girls get home.
We feel so lucky to have her!!

I retired from my career over 5 years ago. I was drawn to Lucky’s Place because of my love of animals. To find a charity that touches your heart doesn’t get better than that. The dogs are always excited to see me and the other volunteers who donate their time and affection. The dogs love getting out of their kennels, getting some much-needed exercise, and a chance to experience a variety of scents.

KayCee was left at the post office in Thayne where she waited for her owner for days. One of the ladies at the post office called the shelter and took her home until we could get her. KayCee is an older super sweet black lab. She was at the shelter for a month and got adopted. But KayCee had seizures which we were not aware of and was brought back to the shelter. After two more months at the shelter, she found her forever home.
KayCee now lives in Jackson with a wonderful, compassionate lady. She still has seizures but her new owner is dealing with them and giving her more love each day than you can imagine. We are so grateful for Penny, KayCee’s new mom.
Congratulations to our Mother’s Day Giveaway winner Randi Clark and her sweet pup. Just look at this mommy and me snuggle. Our judges see the absolute love in this photo and for that, we hope you have the most wonderful Mother’s Day!
Thank you to everyone who joined in on this event and shared their fur babies! Thank you for sharing your sweet photos of your pets, for sharing their beautiful moms, and for sharing their unique stories of love and life. Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there!
Meet Max! He’s the cute little grey fella in the mix. Max came to the shelter for aggressive behaviors to his fur siblings, and while he was at the shelter he really didn’t behave much better with his kennel mates. Our family heard his family tell their heartbreaking story and knew we had a home that might help him work on his protective behaviors. We took Max home to foster, and within days he was part of our pack. Our two senior dogs were great role models. They towered him in size and patience and taught him how to find his place comfortably. Like a lot of misunderstood dogs, Max isn’t aggressive, he’s insecure. We chose quickly to fail as his foster parents and give Max his forever home with us!
Our senior pups peacefully passed away this last Spring, but not before smoothing out and relax all of his rough exterior edges, loving him like a little brother, and helping us give him the best chance to be such a good, good boy. He’s my right-hand hiking buddy now, smart, incredibly comical, and sweet. The best part though….here he with his first fur family, the brother he was unable to get along with is snuggled up on me and leaning in for a big ole dog kiss! They’re back together again going out on adventures and the BEST of friends! In this adoption story, everyone’s heart is happier! It’s amazing what change second chances can bring.
Sharing all the loves,
Max, Cody, & Bailey …. In loving memory of Lola & Brick
Lucky’s Place wants to send a special thank you to our Easter Quilt winner! Yona and his family are excited to have won this beautiful handmade gift and to also help the home he once had. Yona’s family adopted him from Lucky’s Place!
“Yona is Native American for Bear. He was originally called Mikey when my husband Michael and I adopted him from Lucky’s Place last October. We renamed him because there were too many Mikes in the family!!!”
We sure do appreciate you and your new family, Yona! We appreciate all of you who do so many things to support our shelter and animals in need in our community.
